True Bible Prophecy and Digital Bible Courses

By Jan Eisses, Uruguay

On the direction of our preaching, and the possibilities of our online work.

Each Friday, we (Victoria, Alberto, Walter, and I) record the “Radio Journal.” We recently commented on an article about Pope Francis’ statement that we’re now experiencing a Third World War (with the invasion of Ukraine). In fact, there is war of some kind almost everywhere in the world: between countries and within countries, cold wars and drug wars (a growing problem here in Latin America).

However, in our “Radio Journal,” as well as in our general preaching within Midnight Call Ministries, we want to look upwards. God wants us to shine like bright stars in the midst of a perverted and twisted humanity, bringing hope to mankind: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns’” (Isaiah 52:7).

The third virtual conference on the prophetic Word (mentioned in Stephan Beitze’s report last month) was prepared in cooperation with the field offices in Argentina, Guatemala, and Bolivia. It was livestreamed on YouTube from our studio. It was called El abuso de la profecía bíblica (“The Use and Abuse of Biblical Prophecy”). Samuel Pérez-Millos spoke on improper use (abuso), and Stephan Beitze spoke on proper use (uso).

What’s being presented as Bible prophecy online today is pretty shocking. It’s often astrology mixed with Bible passages taken out of context, or conspiracy myths that are crowding out Christ and His Word in the minds of God’s children. The passage our conference was based on is clear: “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Pet 1:16).

At the time of the conference, Spanish Midnight Call’s long-awaited online Bible courses began. We’re currently offering a series on Bible interpretation (hermeneutics) with Héctor Leites (head of a Bible school in Montevideo), as well as one on Christology with Stephan Beitze. New classes are uploaded every Monday.
