Christ’s Return

Some people thought Christ would return in the year 2,000. But, according to Israel’s calendar, the year 2,000 has not yet arrived. Could the idea of 6,000 year history and then the millennium be based on Israel’s calendar?-D. Pickle, VA

Arno's Answer:

Matthew 24:44 and 25:13 state, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh…Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Thus, the argument about the Jewish calendar is also invalidated. True faith in Jesus makes us expect Him at any time.
