Picture Worth a Thousand Words

Dear Mr. Froese,I very much enjoyed the article, “Is the Millennium Really in the Future?” by Eberhard Hanisch. Since many of us learn visually, I was wondering if you could suggest a particular end times timeline with Scripture references, that would show your understanding of our biblical future. There are many on the internet, but I don’t trust my limited understanding to choose one that is trustworthy. A picture is worth a thousand words. I devour Midnight Call every month. Thanks so much for your ministry.-T. Franke, OR

Midnight Call offers the resource Panoramic View of the Bible (Item 9073).

However, when it comes to the Word of God, it’s just the opposite:  a picture is not worth a thousand words, but the Word is worth more than a thousand pictures.

The millennium is God’s new creation here on earth, but not the final one because we are awaiting a new heaven and a new earth.

It is of interest that in Revelation 1:3 it says, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy.” Nothing is said of seeing. For that and many other reasons, I am always very cautious when it comes to artistic representation of spiritual things.
