CHINA - The Rich Communists Are Coming

Arno Froese

Chinese tourists spent more in the United States in 2016 than tourists from other countries, according to a report from the US Commerce Department.

The 2.97 million Chinese tourists to the US in 2016 was described in the report as “nothing short of explosive.” The US has enjoyed 13 consecutive years of growth in arrivals from China, 12 of which exhibited double-digit growth rates.

While the number of Chinese tourists increased, overall visitor arrivals in the US decreased 2 percent in 2016 from 2015 and visitor spending dropped by 1 percent. The report described it as the first decline in visitors since 2009 and said preliminary data for 2017 indicate an uptick in visitors.

Travel and tourism exports account for 61 percent of all US services exports to China, according to the report, compiled by the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) under the International Trade Administration of the Commerce department.

In all, 75.6 million international visitors came to the US in 2016 for business, medical, education and leisure purposes, spending a collective $244.7 billion across the US., 14 August 2017

Arno's commentary

Just a few decades ago, it was unthinkable for China’s communists to travel to Europe or the United States. It’s ironic that the communists, the archenemy of the USA, have now become a benevolent group of people welcomed in virtually all countries. Tourism, whether business or leisure, has developed into a major industry and can no longer be ignored. According to, international tourist arrivals for 2005 were 89.9 million, and reached 134.8 million in 2017.

Traveling to and fro, according to UNWTO, international tourist arrivals grew by 7% in 2017 to 1.322 billion. Total earnings stand at $1.6 trillion.

I think we have a foreshadowing of the things that happened when Jesus was born. At that time, the world leader in Rome caused all people to be registered (taxed). The reason? So Jesus could be born in Bethlehem instead of Nazareth.

There seems to be a cunning parallel for today’s tourists: they are all registered, and that digitally; thus, the records will last virtually forever. Will this tourism influx lead to world peace? We believe so. Moreover, it will increase prosperity, and that is the great deception of the end times. People everywhere will praise the amazing achievements of mankind, their ability to travel literally around the world in 24 hours.

When we analyze these things, it seems clear that we are in the end stages of the end times; thus, the Church—the body of Christ—should be completed very soon.
