ISRAEL - Covid-19 Green Pass Launched
Israel plans to ease more restrictions on businesses and reopen hotels and gyms to those fully vaccinated or deemed immune after recovering from COVID-19, the government said.
Israel has pushed ahead with a gradual relaxing of lockdown measures imposed on Dec. 27.
Israelis in possession of a “Green Pass”—a certificate of presumed COVID-19 immunity, displayed on an Israeli Health Ministry app—will be allowed entry to leisure facilities such as gyms and hotels, the statement said.
Israel’s swift vaccination roll-out has made it the largest real-world study of Pfizer’s vaccine. The country’s largest healthcare provider has reported a 94% drop in symptomatic COVID-19 cases among 600,000 people who received both doses.

Arno's Commentary
The world stands amazed at the efficiency of Israel’s health services. Their healthcare follows in the footsteps of Europe and most of the successful, developed nations in the world. Basic healthcare is considered a fundamental human right, and medical insurance plans are compulsory.
In a survey of 48 countries in 2013, Israel’s healthcare system was ranked fourth. When it comes to efficiency, it’s ranked third. Also, Israel was ranked the sixth healthiest country in the world by Bloomberg Ratings, and ranked eighth in terms of life expectancy.
Countries without universal healthcare: United States, China, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, and South Africa.
The world looks to Israel for a more permanent answer to the pandemic, and obviously will do so for the next one that will arise.
