ITALY - Facial Recognition Outlawed
Italy prohibited the use of facial recognition and ‘smart glasses’ as its Data Protection Agency issued a rebuke to two municipalities experimenting with the technologies.
“The moratorium arises from the need to regulate eligibility requirements, conditions and guarantees relating to facial recognition, in compliance with the principle of proportionality,” the agency said in a statement.
The agency was reacting to measures taken in the southern Italian city of Lecce, where authorities said they would begin using a technology based on facial recognition.
The privacy watchdog also targeted the Tuscan city of Arezzo, where local police were due to be equipped with infrared super glasses that can recognize car number plates.

Facial recognition technology is in its infancy, but extremely valuable for security purposes. Actually, facial recognition is used more often than most of us realize. A picture is taken when one uses a self-checkout counter at various stores. Facial recognition technology is extremely important for international travel. Who is who is no longer determined by immigration officials alone. Machines scan passports and facial recognition technology is implemented.
Why? This is part of the development toward the recognition and registration of every person on planet earth—all 8 billion. While still in the distance for undeveloped countries, the tendency is crystal clear: all people everywhere will be added, sooner or later, to the global data system identifying each person without fail.
For that reason, we are not overly alarmed by the various globalist movements, because it is part of the progressive fulfillment of Bible prophecy: the world will and must become one, so Satan’s masterpiece, his superman Antichrist, will finally take the reins—albeit temporarily.
