QATAR - Book Fair Offers ‘Lies Spread by the Jews’

Qatar’s 46-year-old international book fair kicked off with the theme, “Doha, A City of Knowledge and Conscience.” The Anti-Defamation League finds the theme a bit ironic.

Included were books like, Lies Spread by the Jews, The Myth of the Nazi Gas Chambers, and Talmud of Secrets: Facts Exposing the Jewish Schemes to Control the World.

The fair will also promote David Duke’s seminal antisemitic text on Jewish influence in the US and Henry Ford’s The International Jew, which builds on the arguments laid out in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

“Once again, this high-profile, government-sponsored book fair is being used to promote blatantly antisemitic books that deny the Holocaust and accuse Jews of controlling the world and trying to undermine Islam,” ADL National Director Jonathan Greenblatt said. “We call on the US embassy to make clear to Qatar’s government that this hate is unacceptable.”

The book fair management described the event as “not just a market for book sales and trading, it is a powerful platform of promoting intercultural exchange, and dedicated human values, and community development.”

“The 28th edition of the Doha International Book Fair is being held in an extraordinary context.

Our beloved country Qatar is passing through the siege, making this cultural event a special influence for intellectuals who believe in the role of writers in raising social awareness and confronting the challenges of the stage,” said Qatar’s Minister of Culture and Sports, Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali.

“This course is intended to enhance the value of both books and reading in a society that is witnessing a smooth transition towards progress in the areas of cultural innovation and industry,” he added., 6 December 2018

Arno's commentary

Qatar is one of the richest countries in the world, with a per-capita GDP of $128,702; that actually places the country as number one.

Israel has developed a limited friendship with the country for quite some time. Here is what Wikipedia says under the title “Israel-Qatar Relations”:

When Qatar were awarded the right to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, they stated that Israel would be allowed to compete in the tournament should they qualify.

Qatar National Olympic Committee and the State of Israel co-funded the Doha Stadium in the Israeli Arab city of Sakhnin located in the Galilee region of Israel. The stadium was named after the Qatari city of Doha. The decision by the Qataris to build the stadium in Israel came after a meeting between the Knesset member Ahmad Tibi and Secretary-General of the Qatar National Olympic Committee Sheikh Saud Abdulrahman Al Thani after Tibi expressed his concern on the conditions for sport in Sakhnin. The involvement of Qatar was to show that relations between the two nations are peaceful and with a similar interest.

Why then this extreme anti-Jewish exhibition of literature? Obviously, this is a political move in order to appease other Arab countries, who are openly anti-Israel. About 1,800 kilometers (1,120 miles) separate the two countries; thus, a certain friendship seems acceptable, since there is no realistic threat to either one of them. From other sources, we note that hidden relationships between Israel and other Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, are in the works.

What does it mean Biblically? The answer is simple: the unification of all countries of the world, disregarding political and even religious differences. We must always keep in mind that the Jews subjected themselves under the authority of the Roman Caesar: “But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar” (John 19:15). Rome represents the final Gentile superpower, which now incorporates the entire world through and by various organizations, particularly the United Nations. But there are multiple other movements and organizations throughout the world attempting to unify the nations and the peoples, which eventually will bear fruit under the leadership of Antichrist.

While Israel vehemently protests such anti-Semitic literature being offered at this particular book fair, the spirit of unity will overcome all, even the severest obstacles. Thus, we know that we are even closer to the end of the end-times.
