SOUTH AMERICA - Millionaires on the Move

Arno Froese

Political instability, social advantages, and opportunities to invest in stable economies are driving Latin American millionaires to migrate.

High-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) from Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina are among those seeking better economic climates.

Henley & Partners reports that global millionaire migration is at its highest rate since 2013. An estimated 128,000 HNWIs will move this year, up from 122,000 in 2023.

Preferred destinations for these migrating families include Australia, the UAE, Singapore, the United States, and Switzerland.

The migration of millionaires has significant implications for global wealth distribution. It influences economic policies and investment trends.

Understanding these movements helps anticipate changes in global economic landscapes and the evolving needs of high-net-worth individuals.

Arno's Commentary

The rich have the capability to keep their riches; in this case, by going global. When it comes to wealth, national borders don’t exist, and quite apparently are being ignored. That’s one side of the story.

The other side shows the way to true globalism. The rich demonstrate a shadow of what is to come. National borders, languages, cultures, traditions, and religions are destined to merge into one, based on Bible prophecy.

Not only the rich, but also an ever-growing number of citizens of any country are on the move. While international tourism recently suffered almost devastating losses due to the pandemic, Statista.com lists global tourism revenue at $7.71 trillion, with 1.29 billion arrivals worldwide.

A Google search reveals the number of annual international tourists: France 89 million, Spain 83 million, United States 79 million.

What was unthinkable just a century ago is normal today. In other words, the world continues to be one super-nation. That’s the way it’s going to be, and there is no turning back.

Bible readers are not surprised because the great imitator, the god of this world, must and will create a global family, albeit temporary.
