USA - Vaccine Opponent Dies of Covid-19

A Texas man who led a group of “Freedom Defenders” against mask restrictions died of COVID-19 on 28 August 2021 at age 30.

Caleb Wallace left behind three children and a pregnant wife. His wife, Jessica, announced her husband’s death on a GoFundMe page that had detailed his fight with COVID-19. “Caleb has peacefully passed on. He will forever live in our hearts and minds,” she wrote.

Wallace helped organize “The Freedom Rally” on July 4, 2020—a gathering described in a flier as a peaceful protest by people “sick of the government being in control of our lives,” the Standard-Times reported.

Jessica Wallace said her husband got sick in late July, but “was so hard-headed.”

“He didn’t want to see a doctor, because he didn’t want to be part of the statistics with COVID tests,” she said.

He then tried unproven ivermectin — a livestock dewormer that has been denounced by the FDA — high doses of vitamin C, zinc, aspirin and an inhaler, the Standard-Times reported., 31 August 2021

It is tragic that four young children will grow up without a father (and a grieving young widow left behind as well). We in no way want to make light of this. However, this person made it a point to publicly oppose and even organize against the very things that could have saved his life and others: the preventive measures last year (masks and social distancing), as well as the Covid-19 vaccine this year.

Unfortunately, he is not the only one. In August alone, there were at least three other outspoken opponents of masks and vaccines who died: on 4 August 2021, H. Scott Apley, a 45-year-old Texas GOP official; on 21 August 2021, Phil Valentine, a 61-year-old nationally-syndicated radio host; and on 30 August 2021, Marc Bernier, a 65-year-old local radio host in Daytona Beach. Besides these, there were undoubtedly others without as big an audience who died stridently opposing the vaccine for themselves and others.

This reminds us of James 4:6: “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (By J. Froese)
