Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Little children, it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).
It concerns me that we as the Church of Jesus Christ do not realize enough the seriousness of the times in which we are living, namely the last time. Why do we not behave accordingly? It is because the deception—and thereby the attempts of the enemy to lull us to sleep—is the greatest in the end time. The words of the Lord Jesus are so clear, “What I say unto you I say unto all, Watch” (Mark 13:37). My brothers and sisters, we really are living in the end times. The time is imminent of which the prophetic Word says, “There shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time” (Daniel 12:1). The “superhuman” Satan incarnate, is wreaking havoc through his spirit with a great force that is almost physically perceptible. The hour of temptation that will come over the whole earth before the dawning of the Great Tribulation, is already in operation. I urge you, therefore, to say a determined and decisive “No!” to every compromise with the spirit of this world. The Lord wants to bring all of us through this temptation unblemished, for we are hastening toward the most holy One of all: Jesus. We shall see Him as He is, “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure” (1 John 3:3).
