Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing” (John 16:22-23).

Why do you receive no answer to certain questions in your prayers? It is because God loves you, because He has planned great things for you, and because He wants to do glorious things through you. We must have the courage to give God the glory when He is silent. We should hold on to the fact then that He is silent because He loves us. It does not matter that we do not understand His love. That will come later. When we see Jesus, all our questions will be answered. When we see Him as He is, we will cover our face with our hands, bow down before Him in worship and confess, “O Lord, I had no idea that You meant so well with me! Forgive my indignant questions, my persistent impatience.” Truly, what the Lord Jesus said, “In that day ye shall ask me nothing” will be fulfilled. Bow before Him and do not ask “why” or “how come” any longer. The answer is hidden in the unfathomably great love of the Lord for you personally.
