Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth” (Revelation 19:6).
Should we, as children of God who are on our way to this eternal glory, not take as an example that which takes up so much time and energy in heaven? We have completely neglected praise and thanksgiving toward our Lord. If the most significant task of the angels is to praise God, there must be a good reason for this. If it is so important for God in heaven to be praised day and night by the cherubim, then this must have tremendous results (cf. Revelation 4:8-11). Let us consider it from this aspect: if the most important function of the heavenly hosts is to praise God, then it is logical that this must also apply to man. In praise and in worship, we are gradually transformed from one glory to another into the image of the eternal God. Therefore, our true worship is the most meaningful activity; it puts God in the position to attain His highest goal with the universe, namely, to bring many sons and daughters to glory.
