Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

What will this first day in heaven bring? I am aware that when we consider this question, we can only do it from the periphery. But the Bible does say something quite concrete about it, “We shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). We can experience and sense something of the presence of the Lord here on earth; we know His help and taste that He is good, but we have never seen Him as He really is. That will be glory when we see Him! Never think that Jesus is as you have experienced, for He is infinitely more glorious, greater, mightier and more exalted. Our greatest battle on earth is to enter into this glorious rest through faith. Never forget that the first day of man on this earth was a day of rest. Then the trouble of sin came into the world, but behold, God created a new rest through Jesus Christ. The first day in eternity will be glorious rest in God through the Lord Jesus Christ for all those who were saved through the finished work of Jesus on Calvary’s cross.
