Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
When the burden becomes too heavy for us and we look around questioningly, there is only one answer: God is able! The infinite power of God is only comprehended and believed in by the Christian to a limited extent, and this is due to unbelief. When we direct a living faith on the Almighty God, who is able to do anything, then there are no limits to achieving the greatest blessings, for God is able! His infinite ability cannot be sufficiently described in words. He is able, He is exceedingly able, He is abundantly able. Even more, namely, “…above all that we ask or think.” He can accomplish that in your life which you are not able to comprehend in your present situation. Perhaps you are saying, I do not experience His help. Everything is so dark around me. Why is this? The answer is that the power of God works in and through us according to the measure of our faith, “…according to the power that worketh in us.” This is why the Lord Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).
