Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“…He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

When there are storms all around us, and the enemy attempts in all possible ways to make us fall, then we know that we are safe in Jesus and are able to react out of His given security. This is our fight of faith; we practice what we claim to believe. We are only able to do this when we have had a meeting with the Victor, Jesus Christ. In other words, those who want to have victory in their daily lives, must first have a meeting with the Victor. It is God who works in you “to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). He is able to do what we are not able to do in our own strength. “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).  And when we fail, do we have to be despondent? No. Those who confess their failure, their inability, and humble themselves over it may have the assurance of forgiveness through His precious blood. Resignation is a cunning tactic of the enemy that we must resist. Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith, and He will also complete the good work He has begun in us.
