This is totally unique and incomparable to the previous two Exoduses.
The Jews came back to a land that was a semi-desert. This time they did not come back from one nation, Egypt or Babylon, but they came back from all the nations of the world.
The pre-state Jews had virtually no chance to survive, for the surrounding Arab nations had publically proclaimed that they would chase the Jews into the sea, and they would have no chance to establish their own Jewish state.
The Jews, many Holocaust survivors, were literally standing alone against organized Arab armies such as Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and even Saudi Arabia sent a special formation to ensure the destruction of Israel. But things happened quite differently; Israel conquered more territory than the United Nations had in their temporary decision assigned to them.
