Who are the two unnamed witnesses, olive trees, candlesticks, and prophets? They are untouchable until they have finished their testimony. Then the beast kills them, and their bodies are left unburied and shown to the whole world for three and a half days, after which they are resurrected and ascend into heaven. A great earthquake shakes Jerusalem and—contrary to the previous global catastrophes, when mankind blasphemed God—we read in verse 13: “…and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
