Bloodline of Antichrist

Dear Mr. Froese,I was just rereading parts of the J.R. Church book, Daniel Reveals the Bloodline of the Antichrist. I was attracted to his comments on Daniel 7:4. After reading that passage in different Bible translations, I agree Daniel was talking about the U.S. being torn from Great Britain and given a man’s heart. My question is relative to Daniel 7:12, “As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season (3 months) and a time (1 year).” My feeling is this will come after the Rapture of the body of Christ. I’d like to read your opinion on this verse. -D. Smith, CA

The U.S. is the result of many European and Asian immigrants, as well as African slaves; thus, biblically speaking a “mixed multitude.”

It is wishful thinking and pure imagination that the lion should be Britain and the eagle the U.S.A. There are dozens of other nations whose history goes back thousands of years, which had and have these animals as their state symbol. The lion is obviously Babylon and the eagle Medo-Persia, the bear Greece and the leopard Rome. That is as close as we can get to prophetic Bible identification.

Beginning with chapter 7, Daniel writes, “I saw in my vision by night.” What he sees, he describes from spiritual perspectives.

We as Christians should differentiate only between three groups—Gentiles, Jews, and Christians. Trying to identify new countries by their name today will lead us in the wrong direction and miss the point.

Verse 12 describes the entire Gentile world as “beasts.” Each and every government will continue to function, “prolonged for a season and time,” until the Son of man comes in the clouds of heaven to make an end to all nations.
