Matthias or Paul?

Dear Sir,I purchased a booklet from Midnight Call titled The Bible Is True by Gertrud Wasserzug-Traeder. On page 19 she talked about the replacement for Judas with Paul. I know that Judas was replaced by Matthias: see Acts 1:26, “And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.” To be with the Lord, you must also be a Berean and search the Scriptures. -F. Arno's Answer:

The difference between Acts 1:26 and the statement by Gertrud Wasserzug-Traeder that “Paul replaced Judas,” is based on the fact that Jesus Himself chose the apostles, while Matthias was chosen by democracy, and that before the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles.  For that reason, we believe that “the names of the 12 apostles of the Lamb” will include Paul, not Matthias.
