How can we avoid the mark?

Receiving the mark can be avoided by being prepared to receive the alternative, that is, a new name. You will either receive the mark of the beast or "...a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it" (Revelation 2:17). You are either saved or lost; you will either accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior or you will accept the image of the beast. There is no other way around it. A name is a precious commodity that stays with you all the days of your life. Whenever you hear or read your name, it touches your soul because that name is what identifies you. When you trust Jesus as your Savior, then you have become a new creature. As a result, you will receive a new name after you leave this earth. This name will be created especially for you and it will not be duplicated.

The devil is not capable of creating; the best he can offer is an imitation, and in this case, he can give a number. This reveals how much Satan cares about you; to him you are nothing, you are worthless, you are expressed by a number. This behavior is typical of the father of lies. He seeks to degrade God's creation; unfortunately, he is quite successful.

The overwhelming majority of the world's population gladly, voluntarily and intentionally serves Him. Why? Because they have been deceived. They do not want to hear that they are sinners, never mind have to admit it themselves.

But the Bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." That diametrically opposes today's prevailing opinion that each and every soul on the planet is more important than the other. The world believes that there is some good in every person, and that the good will somehow outweigh the bad, therefore, they think they will enter heaven. That is the great lie Satan feeds the multitude.
