If the new Temple will be used by the Antichrist, can't it be built in our days?
It sounds reasonable, but that is only speculation. We know that the Antichrist will come with cleverness and deception. He will be a master politician, a great negotiator, and one who will perform miracles in the sight of all men. Such a character could very well be capable of negotiating a peace treaty between the Arabs and Jews in Israel. As a result, it is not unthinkable that a Temple will be built beside the Dome of the Rock on Mount Moriah, demonstrating peace to the world. That Jews and Muslims could pray on the Temple Mount in unity was previously unthinkable. But this Temple will indeed be used by the Antichrist, because the Bible says, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (2nd Thessalonians 2:4).
