What book was Daniel instructed to seal?
Daniel 12:4 says, "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased" (verse 4). Verse 9 says: "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." The words that were closed, or the book that was sealed, was the New Covenant. Daniel confessed that he did not understand: "...how long shall it be to the end of these wonders?...Oh, Lord, what shall be the end of these things?..." Daniel didn't understand, nor did anyone else, until the endtimes. When did the endtimes begin? When Jesus fulfilled His task, dying on Calvary's cross and, at that moment, the veil in the Temple was torn from top to bottom.
Part of the answer is found in Galatians 3:23: "But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed." Also, verse 5 says: "He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"
When the Church was born on Pentecost, the Apostle Paul said: "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams" (Acts 2:16-17).
