Who rules the United Nations?
The spirit of democracy. The United Nations and its many associated institutions will continue to develop and prosper based on the desire of the majority of member nations. Even the Vatican, a religious institution, is a respected member of the United Nations.
At this time, one of the United Nations' most serious deficiencies is finance and military power. No mechanism exists to force member nations to comply with the decision of the majority. The United States particularly acts independent of decisions made by the United Nations. But the Bible says that all nations will come under one umbrella, and we know that sooner or later the United States will also have to submit to the dictates of world democracy.
