Will a religious peace produce peace?

Without a doubt, the religious institutions of the world desire peace more than anything else. Dialogues have been developed for many decades among the major and minor religious institutions of the world in an attempt to find common ground. Basically, all religions have the same message: Do good and you will be rewarded for it in heaven, do evil and you will be punished. No religion rewards stealing, lying, murder or adultery. Therefore, it stands to reason that the religions of the world will form a united front and present a constitution for peace on earth. It will be successful, but it will not last.
