CHINA - Triples Nuclear Arsenal Since 2020

China has nearly tripled its nuclear warhead arsenal since 2020, according to the Pentagon’s latest China military power report.

“The PLA continues its rapid nuclear build up,” [a senior U.S. defense] official said, using an acronym for the People’s Liberation Army, adding that China is expected to exceed 1,000 warheads by 2030.

“When you look at what they’re trying to build here, it’s a diversified nuclear force that would be comprised of systems ranging from low-yield precision strike missiles all the way up to ICBMs, with different options at basically every rung on the escalation ladder, which is a lot different than what they’ve relied on traditionally,” the official said.

Despite several soft spots, the U.S. lists China as the Defense Department’s No. 1 “pacing challenge.”

“Our National Security Strategy identifies the PRC as the only competitor with the intent, and increasingly, the capability, to reshape the international order,” the official said.

Arno's Commentary

When we look back 100 years ago in 1925, a Google search shows that the United States dominated between 40-50% of the world’s manufacturing output. That picture has changed drastically. Today, it’s China with 31.6%, and the USA at a distant 15.9% of global manufacturing output.

What is the issue? One word: dominance. Will China achieve its goals? We think not.

These global events taking place today do not really divide, but actually place the nations closer to each other. There is little if any doubt that the United States needs China as much as China needs the USA. Thus, welcome to globalism! Where will it end?

When analyzing present-day events and the alignment of the nations, we must go back to Genesis 11:3-4, where we read: “And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”

We immediately notice the substitute, “brick for stone.” A stone is uniquely shaped, and among the trillions, none are alike. Bricks, on the other hand, are uniform. Moreover, they had “slime … for morter.” There are several interpretations of “slime,” but this writer has concluded that it refers to bitumen—a crude oil derivative. That, in fact, is what glues the nations of the world together: energy, the oil from below, in contrast to the oil from above (Holy Spirit).

What is their goal? To “reach unto heaven.” Materialism is the substance, and religion is the motivating factor.
