IRAN - Deadly Port Explosion
The explosion at the Shahid Rajaee port has become a major challenge for Iran.
This is a challenge for Tehran. It can’t ignore the explosion, and it is embarrassing for the regime.
Iranian state media Islamic Republic News Agency reported about the continued losses due to the explosion.
Tehran has accused people of spreading misinformation. However, the explosion brings up memories of a similar disaster in Beirut port that was caused by improperly stored ammonium nitrate.
Meanwhile, President Masoud Pezeshkian has said Iran is a good place for investment and trade, stating that the country welcomes investment by foreign businesspeople.
The Iranian president said, “With this potential, a good future can be created for the world in terms of security and peace... Peace and security will be created with trade, investment, companionship, and cooperation.”

Arno's Commentary
While Iranians are not Arabs, 98.5% adhere to the Islamic religion. Life expectancy stands at 75.6 years, with a per capita GDP of $15,900.
The territory of Iran was known as Persia in the Bible. Second Chronicles 36 concludes: “Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.” It is of interest that the Jews were free to go to Jerusalem. The purpose? To build the temple. What did they do, however? They built houses and walls instead.
One cannot help but see this development in Israel today. Beginning in the late 19th century, the Jews who began to return to the land of Israel were not religiously motivated per se, but rather seeking security—building houses and walls. But the end is different. Ezekiel proclaims: “My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore” (Ezekiel 37:27-28).
