USA - Israeli AI-Driven Vehicle Inspection System
Hertz, one of the world’s leading car rental companies, has partnered with Israeli AI-driven vehicle inspection systems UVeye to enhance its vehicle maintenance practices in the United States.
UVeye’s AI-powered camera systems and machine learning algorithms enable real-time automated inspections of a car’s body, glass, tires and undercarriage. The system has been installed at hundreds of dealerships, fleet sites and auction lots globally.
The partnership will also enhance Hertz’s service and vehicle availability thanks to Uveye’s proactive ability to detect maintenance issues quickly and precisely. For instance, the system captures and instantly analyzes high-resolution images of the tire treads to determine whether a tire needs to be replaced.

The two Israelis stated in an interview: “UVeye was founded in 2016 after my brother, Ohad, and I drove into a sensitive facility in Israel and watched a security guard inspect our vehicle with a mirror. We both understood there must be a better way to scan for bombs and other security threats that might be hiding under vehicles.” Security is the key, particularly for Israel. Manual inspections by professionals are not 100% reliable; thus, artificial intelligence to the rescue!
The excerpt from the article published by Israel21c, as reported by Yulia Karra, reminds us of, “Big brother is watching you” in 1984 by George Orwell (1903-1950), wherein the author (real name Eric Blair) fictionalizes the future total control of humanity. Here, however, we are concerned with vehicles. With AI, the UVeye system will apparently supersede physical inspection by experts.
Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will be the first to be equipped with this system by the end of this year, the article concludes.
As Bible readers, we know that this type of AI knows no limits and eventually will incorporate all of the human race.
Technology is crowned king, and reliance on the word of the Creator is relegated to second place. Here we are reminded of Amos 8:11: “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.”
