“Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).
The harvest day, the day of judgment, the day on which we, as the Church of Jesus Christ, will stand before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ, is very near. Redeem the time, therefore. See that you build on the foundation of your salvation, Jesus Christ, gold, silver and precious stones. This means in practical terms, let everything in your life be a means to the end of the glorifying of the name of the Lord. Let your first love for Jesus be the driving force behind the use of your time, for then your time will be given eternal value. In this way, your life’s harvest will be a triumph before the judgment seat of Christ. Such a life will be under attack from the enemy, but the Scriptures say, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy” (Psalm 126:5). Redeem the time, because suddenly it will be over. “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” (Matthew 6:20). Maybe you are asking, how should I begin to redeem the time for eternity? Pray more! Read more in the Word of God! Talk with God! That is the beginning.
