Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn” (Matthew 13:30).

We are not told here to remove the enemy, because he is not in us but outside our hearts. So we are apparently passive and do nothing, as the Lord said. This passivity, however, is greatest activity of faith. Footprints of the enemy? Yes, but if you are secure in Jesus, he can do nothing to you. Eradicate these prints through the power of the blood of Jesus. Begin anew to lead a faithful prayer life. Seek a deeper relationship with the Bible. See that the prints you leave behind are prints of light. Do works of love for Jesus’ sake. Sow the seed of the Word of God. Give a clear testimony. These footprints of light are indelible. They will remain. They lead to eternity, so that it will be read of you afterwards in golden letters, “Their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13). Walk like the Lord Jesus and walk with Him, and then you will leave prints behind that remain for eternity.
