Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“Be not hasty to go out of his sight” (Ecclesiastes 8:3).

I am convinced that the hectic lives of many Christians makes them blind to the importance of the present spiritual hour. Satan does not want to leave us time to contemplate about eternity. He wants us to be busy more and more. The apostle Paul was very aware of this and exclaimed with great authority, “We are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11).

To have time does not mean gaining more time to work, but to pray more. Prayers create miracles. I have read the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7 a thousand times perhaps, but they burn into my soul anew each time I read them, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” How simple, and yet so exalted! How rich, powerful and blessed your life could be if you were a prayer warrior. Those who have time for the Lord find immeasurable things that remain for eternity. The Word of God challenges us, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16); and, “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry” (Hebrews 10:37).
