Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6).

The born-again Christian is waiting with joy and desire for the return of Jesus. We can summarize this glorious fruit of the new birth in three words: salvation, filling, expectation. Salvation from sin, Satan, death and judgment; being filled with the Holy Spirit; and a living expectation of the return of Jesus. We know that the return of Jesus is near. He can come at any moment, for He said, “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28). With “these things” the Lord meant the present signs of the times, particularly Israel. We can actually see how born-again Christians all over the world are looking up expectantly and saying in spirit, “Amen.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20). We are living in a tremendous time. Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled before our very eyes. For this reason, we await the Lord at any moment. Are you waiting for Him with joy? Are you ready? “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come” (Revelation 22:17).
