Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1).
Millions of people today are subject to fear. There are fears which one person can inflict upon another through wrong words and deeds. Diseases and threatening dangers cause fear. The world political situation and what the future will bring, are also reasons for fear and anxiety. This fear is increased by the media. Most people suffer from indefinable fear. Is this true of you? Do you have fears that completely absorb and consume you? Fear in the morning, fear in the evening, and fear at night? Where does this come from? The definition of this fear is unforgiven sin. This is the fear that can only be described as unatoned for sin. The Zeitgeist, the spirit of our time, urges us to fear. But there is one Person who has overcome the world and therefore all fear—Jesus, who repeatedly said, “Fear not!” By this statement He is inviting you to come to Him now with all your fears. Come to the light, to Jesus! Confess your guilt to Him and His blood will cleanse you from all sin, so that you can rejoice with the Psalmist, “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7).
