Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).
With these words, the Lord gave His own unlimited authority over the whole destructive power of the enemy. We must be conscious of the fact that Satan’s activity is a reality. The ignorance of a believer will not protect him from attacks; on the contrary, the enemy seeks the ignorant. The watchful, however, those who abide in the Lord, are untouchable. Therefore, the Lord reminds us so often that we should watch and pray, so that we do not come into temptation. Paul says, “We are not ignorant of his devices,” when speaking of the devil. The enemy does indeed employ all his power against us. But when we stay close to Him, we can experience the whole victorious power of Jesus, for the Lord says to us, “I give unto you power…over all the power of the enemy.” As seen globally, we are experiencing today an onslaught from hell, an invasion of spirits out of the abyss. Children of God are at the top of the enemy’s blacklist, but they are the only ones who have the whole victory!
