Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
Have you ever noticed how little the Bible says about the Rapture? Why does it speak so little of it? Because the Rapture, as Paul says here, is a mystery. What is the nature of the mystery of the Rapture, for we who are children of God? The Lord Jesus Himself reveals it to us in John 16:22-23, “And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing.” The Lord is saying that in the moment we see Him, all mysteries will be solved and all our questions will be answered. We notice too that the Lord Jesus not only says that He will see us, but that He will see us again. How can we see Him again at the Rapture? Have we ever seen Him? Yes, we see Him now and recognize Him in the Word of God. Then, however, when He comes in the clouds of heaven, we shall see Him as He is. This is a great mystery!
