Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:8).
The promises of God remain valid in the New Year! Circumstances may toss you to and fro, time may fly, but the Word remains! How many people have attacked the Bible over the centuries? Enemy powers attempted to do their work of destruction, but the Bible remained! The Word belongs to you! The Word and you, you and the Word, should become one. Was not Jesus Christ inseparably one with the eternal Word of God? David said, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” in Psalm 119:11. The Bible remains! The Word remains, because it is sure and reliable, because it is stronger than all else, stronger than human doctrine and destructive powers. Therefore, I wish all of you who are standing on the border of the new year the Lord’s richest blessing with Psalm 33:4, “The word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.” The Bible remains. This also applies to all who are in the Lord’s service: the Bible remains. And it also applies to you who are sick or otherwise oppressed: the Word remains!
