Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5).
Service for God means to consciously allow the lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives. That in time testifies that the element of the fullness of His Spirit is at work. In Hebrews 9, we read that the Lord Jesus sacrificed Himself to God through the eternal Spirit, and not out of emotional sentimentality: “But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people” (Hebrews 9:7). This is why Paul says so clearly, “We are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit” (Philippians 3:3). That is the mind of Christ.
Very few Christians have learned to worship and serve the Lord in the Spirit! Most Christians are full of emotions or feelings. Such can never experience the living reality of the mind of Christ in their life.
