Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is” (Jeremiah 17:7).

We can say “Amen” to this. “Amen” means, “So let it be.” “Amen” confirms what has been said. Jesus is the great, unchanging Confirmer, for all the promises of God in Him are “Yea” and “Amen.” The natural man is full of contradictions. All contradictions in our lives are in accordance with the nature of the Antichrist, who will portray the greatest contradiction: an apparent Christ, yet not the real Christ. But the risen Lord is “Yea” and “Amen.” He is “Amen” in the full atonement of His precious blood. He is “Amen” in His righteousness. This holy, glorious robe of “Amen” is beginning to shine in the fallen world all the brighter. He is “Amen” in every name that He bears, the Bridegroom of the Church, who will never be separated from her again. The Friend who loves more than a brother. Your Shepherd who is with you in the valley of the shadow of death. Your Helper and your Redeemer, your Rock and your Guarantor, your confidence, your joy, your everything, your “Yea and Amen” in all things. If only I could engrave this on your heart in golden letters: Jesus alone is your confidence, the divine “Amen” in your soul!
