Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

How should we serve the Lord? I am convinced of the fact that the Lord is looking for people who want to be a whole sacrifice. To these and through these He reveals Himself completely. Are you the man or the woman who is willing to give yourself to Him unconditionally? I ask pastors, counselors, deacons and church members, do you know that the blessing of the Lord departs from those who want to sit on the fence, so to speak? Only a total surrender to his claim brings total victory. Our commission is priestly, because we stand before God praying and wrestling for the souls of men. It is also prophetic, though, because our fervent testimony of redemption through the Lord Jesus carries an important message, “Be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord” (Isaiah 52:11).
Let us serve the Lord fervently, for “The king’s business require[s] haste”(1 Samuel 21:8). It is midnight—we must make haste because we do not have much time left. The Lord is coming soon, and then we shall be called upon to give account for our endeavors. He is calling to us to “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13).
