Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all thing were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:16).

Throughout the Old Testament, the will of God to reveal His Son as Redeemer breaks through. But Moses was surely the first man to whom the Lord could reveal His highest aim down to the last detail, namely the sacrifice of His beloved Son. It is deeply moving when the Lord speaks of the “blood of my sacrifice” in Exodus 34:25. Oh, that we might grasp what God’s highest interest in us is! It is exactly the same as it was with Moses at that time. God wants to reveal the Lamb in and through us. This was the glory that Moses reflected. Jesus was the Lamb, the temple, the way, the sacrifice and the priest simultaneously. “The glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” (Revelation 21:23). God’s highest interest is the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is all in all, in creation as also in the individual person. God created man in His own image, “…to be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:29).
