Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? For ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1).
It is the Holy Spirit here who expresses, through the mouth of David, the longing, the desire of the true Church of Jesus Christ on earth. This is the reason for this question, this cry of the soul who is waiting for the Lord, “How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord?” We have been waiting for the Rapture for so long, and in many believers the question arises, has the Lord forgotten us? Has He passed us by? When Israel was in trouble in olden days and spoke like this, the Lord said, “Can a woman forget her suckling child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee” (Isaiah 49:15).
Then the second question, “How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” When will I see Your face, as You have promised, “…when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). When will this take place? At the Rapture, and this is imminent. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward” (Hebrews 10:35). I can assure you, His desire to come and fetch you is far greater.
