Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly” (1 Corinthians 15:49).
Where will you spend the first day of eternity? This depends on your relationship with Jesus. Those who love Jesus and follow Him, the Lamb of God, will reach the goal. Your last day here on earth will also be the first day of eternity with Jesus. What will take place on this day? First, the great journey. Either at your death or at the return of the Lord, you will leave your earthly house here and go to the Father’s house with its many “mansions.” Let us not forget that we are living here “on call,” and this call could take place very suddenly. There is rarely notice given of it. If you suddenly have to leave your earthly house, you will not be “out on the street,” for Jesus Himself has a place prepared for you, if you are following Him with all your heart. He has gone ahead of you and has assured you in His Word, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you” (John 14:2). How wonderful that every child of God knows, “There is a place prepared which Jesus Himself has guaranteed me!”
