Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15).
We are not wrong in thinking that our trials and temptations are increasing in these times, both physically and mentally. It cannot be otherwise, for with the approaching of the return of Jesus, currents of heavenly atmosphere are coming down to this earth. Therefore, the “rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (see Ephesians 6:12, NIV) find themselves in great distress. They desperately try to maintain their foothold in the heavenly realms. This movement in the invisible world is realized particularly by the saints in Christ. More than ever, we need to direct our eyes upon our Lord Jesus. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we stand today directly before our transformation. The Rapture is a definite reality now more than ever. Satan is resisting this, and therefore true children of God are exposed to increasing trials and temptations. Be of good cheer, however, for the eternal enlarging of our spiritual personality is imminent. The Lord says, “He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13).
