Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him” (Psalm 91:15).
Why does prayer have such power? Because the Eternal God goes into action when we pray. He has solemnly promised to answer the prayers of His own, because:
• He hears, “…The Lord will hear when I call unto him” (Psalm 4:3).
• He responds, “…I will surely hear their cry” (Exodus 22:23).
• He gives strength, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31).
• He is active, “He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him” (Psalm 145:19).
• He answers, “Before they call, I will answer” (Isaiah 65:24).
• He reveals, “I will…shew thee great and mighty things” (Jeremiah 33:3).
This is why it is immensely more important to find Him in prayer than to present Him with a lot of requests. If you find Him, you have already found the answer to your prayers.
