Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Everywhere the Son of God comes, the spirits are exposed. The one says “Yes” to Him, the other says “No.” But God takes this decision seriously. God takes you seriously because you are His creation. When the eternal God made the great masterpiece of creation, He made man after His own image “…of the dust of the ground,” and “…breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” (Genesis 2:7). Therewith He gave us of His own nature. The nature of God is love. God wants people who love Him of their own free will, for love presupposes free will. This means that man could and can choose his way. But man chose, and he chose sin. We will never be able to fathom what the heart of God, which is perfect love, felt when man, whom God created in His own image, turned away from Him and turned to Satan deliberately. Only those who have recognized Jesus Christ as the gift of God begin to have an inkling of what John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son….” This is the wonderful message of the second possibility of decision that God gave man in his now lost state.
