Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me” (Galatians 2:20).
A disfigured soul has a disfigured character. This is the sad picture of a believer over whom the enemy has power. Because such a person is negative emotionally, he has many troubles. He gets annoyed over this and that; he is offended by everything, just not about himself. Nothing seems to help, so finally he creeps back into his shell to sulk…and the whole of hell breaks out in laughter. Why? Because he was another one whom the Lord could have used wonderfully. But he is now paralyzed by the enemy. Such people are often very gifted people, who have good prospects of doing something in the kingdom of God to the glory of His grace. But there is no room in their hearts for others. The more this emotional character is disfigured, the smaller your radius of action will be. Go back to the starting point, therefore. This means, go back to being crucified with Christ. Those who take the words of Jesus seriously, “Behold, I give unto you power…over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19), will also have victory in other spheres.
