Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“They return, but not to the most High” (Hosea 7:16).

This is the Lord’s lament over His people through the mouth of the prophet Hosea. When a person truly turns to God, it is always followed by revival. Revival means new life, and such life is visible to others. Conversions cause living chain reactions; that’s the norm for the Church. Of the first Church we read, “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47). When such a process does not take place, it is because the hearts of believers are divided. This is the greatest enemy of revival. The power of God, on the other hand, is always there where divided hearts turn to Him. In 2 Chronicles 16:9, it is written, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” Those who are completely devoted to the Lord experience the strength of the Lord. Divided hearts are not only divided where the Lord is concerned, but also where their surroundings are concerned. This is why we have so many broken marriages and families. Therefore today, seek Him who is able to mend that which is broken by a divided heart.
