Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
The best is yet to come! The most glorious things lie ahead of us. The Lord has prepared unimaginable bliss for all those who love Him. This bliss cannot be described, for the words of 1 Corinthians 2:9 are true, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
But the Lord has told us certain things about our eternal glory in His Word. We read in the book of Isaiah, for instance, “And the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her” (Isaiah 65:19). This means that the glorified will weep no more, as the cause for sadness has been taken away. No suffering grieves them, nor do thoughts of death or any kind of loss make them sad. There they will weep no more, for there their sanctification is complete. No evil heart of unbelief will keep the blood-bought ones from the face of the living God (see Hebrews 3:12). There we will stand before His throne without blemish and will be completely transformed into the image of His Son. All whose sins have been washed in the blood of the Lamb will cease to grieve.
