Spiritual Strength For Each Day

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

The Lord washes me through His blood so that I am as white as snow. He further states, “I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me” (Jeremiah 33:8). Jesus Himself said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).

It is as though He is putting a divine seal on His promised, “He that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out,” by adding, “neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:28).

Why do you fear, then? Is it not overwhelming grace that when you come to Jesus, you find in Him the One who receives you and incorporates you in His Church, and says to you, “You are Mine for all eternity”? So, resist the spirit of fear and bow to the Spirit of adoption, through whom you can say, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).

What immeasurable grace is in this short but mighty promise, “He that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”
