Spiritual Strength For Each Day
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Time is short! Try, therefore, in the name of Jesus who is not ashamed of you, to overcome your very human disposition and proclaim to others the salvation that Christ proclaimed to you. If you cannot speak with a voice like a trumpet, then speak with a soft voice! If you are not called to preach, then pray in stillness. If you cannot write books or tracts to spread your testimony, then say with Peter, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee” (Acts 3:6).
Speak at Jacob’s well in Shechem with the Samaritan woman, if you cannot preach to the people on the mountain. Praise the Lord Jesus in your house if you cannot glorify Him in the temple. Or do it in the field if the market is not the right place for you. Witness of Him in your family, if the family of mankind seems too vast for you. Do not bury your talent, but use it! Then you will gain a lot of interest for your Lord and Master. And by speaking about the Lord’s business, we ourselves are refreshed, the saints are quickened, sinners are comforted and the Savior is honored.
